Dubbed “Euro Centrale,” this Spring/Summer collection features twelve new shades personifying iconic places within the central European countries of the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, and Romania. For some, it’s all glamour that defines us. It shines outward in the way bold metallics shine, so what better color for your mani than a gold metallic like “OY– Another Polish Joke,” metallic bronze like “Hands off my Kielbasa!” or metallic copper like “A Woman’s Prague-ative.” Others were born to play, and love the bright, happy shades like the warm pink of “Suzi’s Hungary AGAIN!” a beautiful periwinkle purple like “You’re such a BudaPest,” an aqua green like “Can’t Find My Czechbook,” a fiery red like “My Paprika is Hotter than Yours!” or a fun glittery blue and purple called “Polka.com.” And then, there are those of us with a more indie approach to life; beauties who like deep thoughts and hues on their nails! Try a deep indigo like “OPI…Eurso Euro,” a midnight blue “I Saw…U Saw.. We Saw… Warsaw,” and a great aubergine (so Euro) to vamp it up called “Vant to Bite My Neck?” Finally, everyone loves a great neutral, like “My Vampire is Buff.”
Also new this season from celebrity manicurist Deborah Lippmann, the Spring 2013 “Romantic Rapture” collection of three new and limited edition colors, as well as the latest thing in nail polish– an AT HOME GEL TOP AND BASE COAT! (squeal!!!) The latest colors for Spring are a light blue shimmer called “Moon Rendezvous,” a flamingo pink creme called “Groove is in the Heart,” and a brand new nude shimmer shade called “Careless Whisper.”
And now, the big kahuna story: Deborab Lippmann has come out with an at home gel top and base coat! Yes, ladies, you saw that right, You can now turn any o fyour current nail polishes into a gel manicure with two simple steps– and you don’t even need a UV light! Used with any traditional nail lacquer, the Gel Lab system gives the high-gloss finish and soft cushiony look of a gel manicure with extended wear. Simple removal with The Stripper or any lacquer remover. First, apply the “Coat of Arms” Base Coat. It’s formulated with epoxy resin for extended wear and acrylic to strengthen the nails. Wait 2 minutes before applying nail lacquer shade after applying the base coat. Then, apply “Shining Armor” Top Coat. This one is formulated with polymers, resins and acrylics for strength. High viscosity helps create more deposit on nail upon application giving a heavier layered effect with super high shine and yet ultra-quick drying. Wait 2 minutes after applying nail lacquer shade before layering on “Shining Armor” Top Coat, and you have your very own at-home gel manicure!
